Adrian J. Edwards founded WAVE Services LLC in 2024 as he prepared to retire with 30 years of public sector service in the wastewater treatment field.

Adrian began his professional career with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the California State University system in Business Administration. That background education served him well throughout his career, giving him the baseline skills for project management, business analysis, report creation, and public speaking, to name a few.

He began his working career in the hazardous waste industry in California, and quickly moved into the public sector for the Clark County Water Reclamation District as a Plant Operator. Adrian followed promotional opportunities to the City of Las Vegas, where he became an Operations Supervisor and then acting Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for the Environmental Division. That further wastewater experience earned him the opportunity to lead the opening of the City’s Durango Hills Water Reclamation Facility, treating and providing high quality treated effluent to golf courses in the west end of the Las Vegas Valley.

Adrian moved into management at the City of Henderson, beginning as Wastewater Operations Manager. He progressed to Division Manager, incorporating Wastewater Operations with Electrical and Instrumentation, as well as branching into the drinking water industry with Water Operations. He continued to progress to Deputy Director of Utility Operations, becoming involved with Engineering, Laboratory, Field Operations, security, and emergency preparedness.

Adrian was an adjunct professor, teaching wastewater operations at the College of Southern Nevada for almost 10 years. He has presented at various trade conferences on subjects like operations, reuse, and management. He has served on the NWEA Certification Board since 2008, and has been Chairman since 2014.

He is one of the few in Nevada to hold the Grade 5 Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification, as well as holding Water Treatment, Water Distribution, and other related certificates.

He is also an avid Formula One fan, and has served as an Intervention Marshal at the LVGP and USGP.
